What does a group do against false complaints being made to yahoo?

  • I have a yahoo group. There is a yahoo member who is repeatedly making complaints to yahoo copyright that members of my group are posting her copyright material. My members notify me, and I have been contacting both yahoo abuse and yahoo copyright proving to them that the url for the message number she claims is where her copyrighted material is being posted contains no material of any sort -- just conversation between members. Thus far yahoo copyright simply told me to email the member -- which these members themselves have done so, it is ineffective. I have yet to get a response from yahoo abuse. Any suggestions?

    make sure that person isn't a member and close the group membership for a month so no one can access it.

if you are the group owner, ban her and let her take her problem up with Yahoo. Open one of her posts and to the right of the message check ban member. or author. you could also find her in the members list, click edit membership below her i.d. scroll down click ban member and follow the prompts.
