Is there any way to get a copy of a yahoo chat that I was a part of, in one of my yahoo groups?

I wanted to get the transcript of a chat on a certain day, from one of my yahoo groups.... is there a way to do this? are they archived? is there a way for the owner of the group to get a copy of the chat from this particular day?
