Name & Age are NOT showing in Yahoo Groups even though they are set in 360° and Profile?
-
I'm trying to join a group where your age showing is a requirement to join, but groups will not show my name or my age. I only found out because I was rejected for age reasons which made no sense as I'm over 18 (by a lot). Several years ago when I first joined Yahoo my age DID show in groups. Now it seems with these changes Yahoo made to the profiles, 360°, and whatever else, it now only shows my gender and location in the groups information. According to Yahoo help pages (I've spent hours and days reading them) it states that your name and age will be public if over 18. I made sure the information was accurate and updated. When I go to my Profile page it shows my name, age, location, yadda-yadda-yadda, but when I go to groups (the ones I am currently a member), it will only show gender and location - name and age are blank and grey. I have my 360° profile information set as well, and in the 360° it also shows all information correctly, but it's still not showing up for the groups and so they keep denying membership. I have saved the information so many times I've lost count. I have signed-out and signed in as many times or more than the changes I have made. No matter how I try it will not display my name or age in the group member listings - yet I see many members do have their information showing. I have written to Yahoo 3 times - no response. :( So, I would GREATLY appreciate it if any one here could help me resolve this issue. I know I used to see my name and age in groups. I don't understand why they are now not showing. :( Thank you ever so much for reading my dilemma.

Answer:
all I can offer is first, Yahoo groups go off of profiles, not 360 and ever since they updated the profiles, a lot of people are having problems. I do know you need to click settings on profile, then permissions and select who can view your profile. if over 18 is fine however the account user still has choices to allow any at all or who to see it.
