If you could introduce one new feature onto Yahoo! Groups, what would it be?

Answer:
From a lot of the previous answers, it's obvious people didn't read the question properly. I'm an owner/moderator for 5 groups on another id. I'd love to have the Chat brought back. 3 of my 5 groups LOVED it. We got together at least monthly to chat, catch up, share ideas, vent, rant, etc. It was wonderful. I'd also like to see a way for owners/moderators to be able to become an owner/moderator of a group that currently has an owner/moderator not participating. A few of the groups I belong to that I don't own or moderate have this issue. It's horrible to see the groups languishing & going nowhere. Yahoo's answer to it is to put it to a poll & discussion. It's been done & nothing happened. The current owners/moderators have email addresses that are hard bouncing. A few have emails addresses that have been bouncing for well over a year. I still think it should be up to the group to help decide, but it shouldn't be such a long, involved process to get a new owner/moderator. A confirmation email would be nice too. Even in regular mail.

I think you should let people see who thumbs people up and who thumbs people down.
I would have a feature that would stop users form having multiple accounts. Trolls are killing Y/A.

Adding chat maybe?
There should be a feature to help people find more groups locally. I tried serching for something near my zip code, to maybe join a Yahoo Group about my community and what goes on here and there were limited and outdated results. Perhaps even a group about different cities and towns that people moving could use to find information about their new area. Like community events, clubs, jobs etc.

I agree with the previous poster, I think it would be nice to see who gives you the thumbs up and thumbs down, maybe than people would use that feature not out of spite but because they truly agree or disagree with the answer not just the person.

When someone reports your question or answer just because he doesn't like it, you should be able to challenge him to THUNDER-DOME. In THUNDER-DOME you and the reporter could debate why your question or answer should or should not be deleted. Each would be given a chance to state their case, the reporter going first. Then two rebuttals. After that the community would vote. THUNDER-DOME be listed by category and then by the offending question or answer. I think it would be a lot more fair than having your question or answer just removed because someone doesn't like it. Make them defend their position.

Ability to delete answered questions so we can still remain somewhat anonymous online. If we post a question like "i think i wanna break up with my gf" my girlfriend wont accidental see it, and start cheating on me behind my back
chating
