Does the price of electrical items drop after xmas in Australia? Is it better to wait after xmas?
-
We need to buy a TV and GPS and I was wondering if prices drop after xmas? In Australia.
-
Answer:
Places like Harvey Norman usually have a Christmas catalogue with heavily discounted electrical goods and if what you want is in the catalogue, it's unlikely to be any cheaper after Christmas. Most people also don't realise that you can generally bargain for an even lower price than what is in the catalogue - particularly at Harvey Norman because pre-Christmas, they're at least as interested in turnover as profit. The after Christmas sales are usually better for clothing, footwear, manchester, homewares and gift items.
