How can I find a casual job in Australia?

  • I don't care if it is cleaning, washing, answering phone calls or carrying heavy objects. I just want a job. I'm in Sydney, Australia and it is hard to find a casual job.

I agree. Your local paper should be your first stop. Also, try seek.com. Sydney Morning Herald on Saturdays has casual jobs listed. Good luck.

Go to the yellow pages and look under employment agencies. There are many agencies that specialise in temp work

you can also try leaving your details with temp agencies around town. lots of agencies pop up when you google "temp agencies sydney" but do try local papers as they are jobs in your immediate area. in the mean time get your resume up to date and read tips on improving your resume.... a great online resource for job networking in linkedin.com.au

Try career one, and seek. Also, I found the best way to get into a casual job was to go around shopping centres and hand in your resume to stores, most stores don't advertise they need work.
