What's the penalty for driving without a driver's license in Perth, Australia?

• Hi, just a few weeks ago i sat my driving test and failed. i really need a car for work specially nights and weekends when public transport is a pain, i understand there's some risk but this is temporarily before i sit for a driving test gain, so just wondering what's the penalty if i get pulled over without license and is it worth the risk? thanks

  It isn't worth the risk. Forget the fine - that's nothing compared to the fact that when you drive without a licence, your car isn't covered by insurance and even more importantly, you are not covered for 3rd party injury. If you are in an accident and someone is hurt, you could be up for millions. And don't say "I'll be careful and won't have an accident" - even careful drivers can't prevent some accidents and if you're the one without the licence, you wear ALL of the costs.
