  I have worked in the daycare business for many years and over the years they have changed the laws. Now you have to be certiied to even be an aid. However if the person is 15 and is in a child development class with their school they can work for the daycare center through the child development program with their school. Unfortunately now to be a head teacher you have to have certain certifications such as either college or what they call TECE 1 and TECE 2 certified, to be an aid you have to be TECE 1 certified. They have been setting th standards in daycare facilities at a higher level in or to have a better quality care for the children. I hope this helps.
