What are the best ways to raise money?

  • Hey everyone, I've decided recently that I want to train for a 10K run in October in aid of Cancer Research UK. The entry for the run is £25 & I still need to get money for a gym induction which is £7 then £3 for everytime I use the gym. I have no money at all so what I've done is made a little jar & everytime I get a little bit of spare change, it goes into the jar so I can start to train in the gym. Another thing is, how am I going to get people to sponsor me? I know the run is a while away yet but I want to raise as much money as possible because it is a charity very close to my heart, as recently my partner's nan has just been diagnosed with lung cancer. What are the best ways to raise money?

    Ask people to pledge for each K that you run, or just donate a flat amount. Most people will be helpful.
