Best place to look for jobs in the UK?

  • My wife and I live in Spain and we have seen on the TV about all the job losses, however it is a worldwide thing, not just happening in the uk. Believe it or not the UK has 7% unemployment ratio but here in Spain it is now at 13% and rising to 20% so its actually much worse here than the uk. We have a few thousand saved up to go back to england and rent a house and get a car and apart from the job centre where is the best places to get work?? I have recently qualified as a HGV driver and my wife is good at Admin and is IT literate so could probably work in a few office jobs. We are aware it isnt going to be easy at the moment and we are willing to take anything until we find something. Even though it is hard my sister has just walked into a 20k job.!! Any advice on jobs or best places to look for work.?? We are based in the leeds area. I dont buy the fact that we will never get a job cos there are jobs out there and we are keen to look everywhere even if its starting at the bottom somewhere.!! Thanks.!

    Job centre really helps! Ive had 12 jobs and Ive found them all from there!
