How can I get a CRB check?

Is there anyway I can get a CRB check?

  • I have helped out at my old theatree school for a year and becasue i was 16 I didn't need a CRB, but I am now 17 and I am starting to run my own dance class. I need a CRB, but I am not part of an organization or company so how can I get one? I have read up, and I know individuals can't apply for CRB's but maybe there is a loop hole? ... Like The council might give me one or something? Thankyou

    If you ran your dance class in a school or a council centre, the local council would probably require that you have a disclosure. Phone your local council and enquire about the requirements for running a dance class elsewhere or on their premises. If they say it's a requirement, they will send you the form and process it. You may have to pay for it.
