Hi im an apprentice and female...and i no that 'apprenticships' only run between the ages of 16 and 19 because they are genrally government funded. After the age of 19 you are classed as trainiee, therefore your company soley have to pay for your education or you do rather than some of it coming from the government. This is why apprentiships are offerd to school leavers not adults. You will need to look for a traniee position, and/or go to college. You can go full or part time. But i think if you go full time college and you do not work the government has to pay you some sort of benefit so you can support yourself and your family.

As a mature entrant, you will probably have to go through your local job centre. https://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/list/apprenticeshipsdirectory/construction/electricalandelectronicservicing.htm
