What is the estimated time it takes a package under 3lbs to be delivered from the UK to California?

• So far its been about a week since my package that I am awaiting for from the UK has posted as "passed to the overseas postage service for delivery." I've been checking up on it's status regularly and it's been the same on royalmail.com, parcelforce.com, and USPS.com. So now I'm a little worried maybe something may have happened to the package. Here are some details from the websites: royalmail.com Delivered date:Still to be delivered Reference no:RJxxxxxxxxxGB Status:Overseas Your item, posted on 17/02/11 with reference RJxxxxxxxxxGB has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. USPS.com Label/Receipt Number: RJxx xxxx xxxG B Service(s): Registered Mail™ Status: Origin Post is Preparing Shipment We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece. ------ What does these status all mean when left like this unchanged? I've also called USPS and that said they are not obligated to scan the package for tracking and they are unsure where exactly the package is. They said it could be anywhere from the UK to somewhere in the US. What kind of BS is that? Anyways, any help would be appreciated.
