What do you need to open a private kinder garden?

I want to sell fairly traded goods and fragrances from my front garden what licences do I need what Laws apply?

I am a University Student studying to acheive two degrees so working from home would be ideal, not too mention low business overheads! What Laws in the UK would I need to be aware of?
