  • Answer:

Hi Mark? Yes it is a scam, Hyde Park Hotel does not use Gmail to contact people, they have their own website, [email protected], and would never use a gmail account. This scam works by charging you immigration fees, work visa fees, transport fees, etc, which you pay before arriving. This is a scam, I'm sorry. Please read in this forum http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=34 and you will learn to recognise the different ways these people scam others. I hope you find a legitimate job soon. Good luck. John Delaney

100% SCAM DO NOT send a copy of your passport for any reason unless you want some scammer to use your identity in their newest fraud "British immigration to process your work permit via email([email protected]) and a copy to [email protected]" -- BOTH of these emails are false. The Border Agency, which handles work permits, have emails that all end in @UKBA.GSI.GOV.UK. If any email does not end in .gov.uk it is NOT an official UK government email There is NO Dave Banks working at the Hyde Park hotel -- you can call them yourself to confirm but I just rang them http://www.thehydepark.com/contact_us.html They also are not recruiting at the moment Besides, hotel workers are NOT on the Skills Shortage Occupation list nor are they considered "highly skilled" so there is no way for a hotel to sponsor a non-EU worker UNLESS you are already working for the same hotel chain in your country and come on an intercompany transfer visa ANY online job offer where you have not been flown to the UK for an interview, or have not interviewed in person with their POEA licensed recruitment agency in your country, is ALWAYS going to be a scam. NO exceptions Looking at your previous questions, the problem is that you were corresponding with scam company EuroSalary who is now targeting you with more fake job scams to try and get your money. You should probably change your email or you will continue to be targeted for scams

You should treat any allegedly "official" e-mail from a generic e-mail address - yahoo, aol, gmail etc - as a scam. Companies have their own websites and these websites always come with built-in e-mail addresses. I'm just an ordinary guy but I happen to have a website and that comes with 50 e-mail addresses [email protected] I have to have a yahoo e-mail to use this site, but I don't use it for anything else
