What happened with model child agency?

• i joined this agency about a year ago. I looked online, joined and paid the money, the next day i got an email saying that i was accepted for the agency and that they would like me to ring up to set an appointment for my first photoshoot. A couple of weeks later i went for my photoshoot and i had to pay more money for the photo disk. There was photo frames everywhere with pictures from magazines with models from the agency and the manager 'sam' was in now magazine. Months later, we heard nothing so we decided to ring them. no answer. so we drove all the way down to the building and the sign wasnt there. I searched on google, to try and find out exactly what happened. Apparently sams husband had took a photo of sam on the sofa and put a picture of drugs next to her and in her hand. He then published this online and they had a divorce. But then we got an email from 'model 909' who said that they were going to take over the agency. They had the same staff but it was in a different place.We turned up on the date and nobody was in the building. Nobody. The doors were open but nobody was inside, it was very unprofessional.We turned up the next wekk and i had my photoshoot and they apologised for the hassle and told us what happened. We recieved a free photo disk. Since then we have had 1 email saying that i had been shortlisted for the coca cola advert, this was not true. They were keeping us busy. I have heard nothing more and all that i know is that 'model 909' are not online anymore, but model child are. is this a scam?

  Yes it is a scam. Genuine agencies do not require a fee. Keep your money in your pocket. As someone else has said, report this to Trading Standards but you'll have to kiss your money goodbye I'm sorry to say.
