Exactly how does a Tesco Home Delivery Grocery shop work?

  • Does anyone work for Tesco or such.. as I am just wondering how one of these home delivery internet grocery shop works..????? I know you pick what you want, add it to your virtual basket and when you have finished, you enter card details and wait for it to be authorised,... BUT, they don't actually do your shopping until the morning of your delivery.. thats when payment is taken from your card, so do they hang on to all your card details and manually reenter them on the morning of your delivery....or is it all done by computer??? ok the reason i ask is this.... Tesco authorised my card at 4.30pm saturday afternoon for delivery the following morning... Between these times, my debit card was billed for £60 Tesco mobile top ups, two very large domino pizza deliveries, itunes vouchers, ringtones and £174 stay in a Travelodge... By the time the morning came, my debit card was being declined as my card had been literally maxxed out. The first I knew, was when Tesco called me at 9 am to 'double check' card details with me. COINCIDENCE OR NOT????

    this is totally simple every thing is designed with a software every thing is managed my the computer well when u enter your details it accepts and checks out and later it takes the order and sends to the ordering department

i thought that when you sign your name on their hand held thingy on delivery is when they can actually take the money even if its been authorised online
