It is cheaper to house/flat share - plus if you haven't lived in London before then this is a great way to meet people who already know the area that you are going to be living in. You will be able to see examples of prices when you begin your search, always try and see photos of the room advertised before you arrange a viewing, (and NEVER hand over money to anyone until you've seent the place and agreed to move in). The lowest average you are lookin to pay is likely to be around £400-450 per month not including bills (although you can sometimes find a real steal if you're lucky) and anything up to £750 per month. London is very very expensive a room can be grotty if you are not willing to pay more and when you do pay more its not worth it. and your likely to be sharing with strangers with bad habits and terrible bathroom and kitchen no less the noise now why would you put yourself through that - oh another way could be good living with a family who have their spare room they want to lett out that could work out better for you, or another way could be to find a 1 bedroom flat to lett by yourself and if you later want to look for a lodger only move in with one other person.
