Animals/pets in Harrods Store?

• Hi! I was just wondering, is Harrods a reliable place to buy a puppy? We've decided to buy a Shih Tzu puppy and thought of Harrods (London) as an option to buy it from. Now, would this be a good place to buy it from or is it better to find a breeder? Do Harrods treat the animals well and sell them from good, reputable breeders or are the dogs from puppy mills? Thanks alot.

  OMG.. I would never "buy" an animal. Pet stores and breeders only care about the almightly dollar - they could care less about the animals. I am a strong advocate for adopting animals from your local shelter or humane society. I am a member of so many facebook groups that do animal rescue, etc. and see posts of healthy, loving animals every day who are going to be euthanized because there are not enough homes. I would NEVER buy an animal in this day and age when there is a pet overpopulation problem out of control. Healthy and loving animals are dying 2-3 times a week to make room for more coming in.
