How much does a Chef earn in London?

What would you need to earn to live in london?

  • without living a poshy lifestyle what should a 23 year old need to earn living in london and doe they earn this. i will likely finish with a first class degree in criminology/sociology or the lowest a 2:1.

  • Answer:

to live in central london (ec1, ec2, nw1, w1), a studio flat or 1 bed apartment will cost up to about £700 per month and then add to that the cost of bills (elcetricity and gas ££50-£70), council tax £150, water rates up to £20-£30, phone £20, food £20-£40, TV licence £15. so basically £900-£1000 a month. don't forget of course other expenses eg travel to and from work, going to the pub, buying lunch at work etc. if you don't live so central, you could take off up to £200 off the cost of living in central london. To get a job, u're better off sending your cv to companies online cos nowadays, they don't want to see u until they've had a look at ur cv. good luck.

Well my friend has recently moved to an area near Tottenham which isn't the nicest( he got burgled within 3 months of being there) and he had a bedsit/studio flat for £600 a month. It was really only one room, though he did have his own toilet. You then have your council tax, water rates, gas and electricity bills. So call it about £800 a month for your bills. Drink tap water and eat bake beans and you'll be able to enjoy the Greatest city in the world!!
