How to get a job with no work experience?

Im a graduate and i work a low wage job. How do i get a good job without experience?

  • Just graduated and finding it hard to get into any industry without experience. How do they expect me to get experience if no-one will give me any? Any ideas on how to get a good job?

  • Answer:

Work hard on your resume to make sure it emphasizes your education, such as who you have studied under (if they are notable) and ANY experience in college or internship or volunteer work you have done related to your chosen career field (you might consider volunteering just for the experience). If all else fails, describe in your cover letter your passion and drive to succeed in your potential new employment. Tell them what you have to offer. Avoid resume styles that emphasize your work experience. Go online and analyze resumes and mimic one that seems to fit your situation best. Stay positive and remain courteous even to those who reject you. Don't burn bridges you might one day cross.

There's a company called Forever Living Products which is recruiting. Totally ethical as it is regulated by DTi and Office of Fair Trading, operating in health and nutrition markets It has a $2 billion turnover and has grown at 20-30% per year for 28 years, but are still quite new to the UK. They are looking for people through the link : www.efi-international.com On 1-2 hours a day you are typically getting £1200 per month after 5 months and £30-40k after 2-3 years. There is also zero investment or catch.

A little bit of sex goes a long way...jk Some volunteer work in your chosen field will look good on a resume. It's free to whomever you choose to work for, and you'll get the experience you need.

My friend is graduating in a month and is wondering the same thing. Most jobs in her field request applicants have at least one year experience. I would say you should apply for jobs that ask for a year experience and if they do not have many applicants or interview you and like you, you may just luck out! Theres no harm in applying for a job you are not 100% qualified for, they can either give you a chance or turn you down.

the best thing to do is contact companies you are interested in and apply for work experience where you will be expected to work for free. you can't just expect to jump into your ideal job straight away. there's a lot of competition out there.

I had a similar problem. Best thing to do is keep applying. If nothing else you will gain experience in interview technique - aptitude tests etc. Also don't under estimate your achievements and skills.

you haven't given any information abt your field of specialization. anyway, my suggestion would be this. 1. continue with your low wage job (this would gain you experience) 2. keep searching for a better (dream) job (use your experience to get this Dream job)
