Ways for young people to get involved in charity work in london?

• I am 15 and I am very passionate about charity work. Where/how can I get involved? Ideally in many years from now i'd like to be taking part in regular charity work and traveling across the world volunteering and raising awareness, but I need to start somewhere. I live in central London and am willing to volunteer anywhere that will have me. how can I get involved? I'm particularly passionate about the current devastation in Pakistan after the flooding and I would love to be able to help in raising awareness/money p.s. dont suggest going through my school as i have tried and it hasnt worked
