Answer:
You can take it to your bank but you will need to bag it up into coin types and the amounts, the bank will give you some moneybags and it tell you on the bag how to group the coins as you cannot mix the coins: 1p's - £1.00 per bag 2p's - £1.00 per bag 5p's - £5.00 per bag 10p's - £5.00 per bag 20p's - £10.00 per bag 50p's - £10.00 per bag £1's- £20.00 per bag £2's- £20.00 per bag

Some banks will...some won't. Go to your nearest ASDA store....most have a change counter machine. Just pour your money in and it counts it and issues you with notes...BUT...it takes a small percentage for this service. If you go to a bank they will insist that the change is in bank bags with the correct change amounts in each bag.

A bank will do it but you'll have to sort the coins and bag them first. Call in to see them and they should give you the money bags.

Only your own bank will change it but our new asda has a machine to do it for you, or if you know a friendly bus driver, we pay in at the end of each day so cash or coins makes no difference ( you could always just approach one and do a deal ie £75 notes for the cash or you might find one full of xmas spirit who change it for nowt)

Banks will do it, so as long as you have an account with them. If in the UK they have a "Coinstar" (which in the U.S. is a machine in a supermarket that accepts change and tallies them up into a receipt, to be redeemed into currency at the cashier) then you could go that route, although they probably charge 5 (of what your equivalent of a US cent is) to your pound.
the bank will be more than happy to help you out, happy new year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. You can contact the Bank. They can.

Why on earth would you want to keep hold of coins? Nothing can be bought for the price of a single coin anymore and they intoxicate your skin with copper and nikel oxides. Plus it's much nicer to pay with a fifty and say "keep the change"? No?
