How To Post On Myredbook For Free?

How do you send to a free-post address?

  • I have been asked to return an item I bought to a free post address and am wondering how exactly I post this? Thanks for your time. :)

  • Answer:

It is easy. Just address the parcel like this: Name of person or company it is going to. Then write: FREEPOST in capitals Then the rest of the address. When you take it to the post office, tell them it is a Freepost parcel and they will accept it. Might be worth asking for a Proof of Posting too. When the parcel arrives at the local sorting office, they record it and bill the company for that service.

Other answers

Freepost is a postal service provided by various postal administrations, whereby a person sends mail without affixing postage. From my understanding all you need to do is add the right address to the parcel and send the package through the Royal Mail, make sure you get a receipt. You do not have to pay for a stamp or a transportation fee: Freepost differs from self-addressed stamped envelopes, courtesy reply mail, and metered reply mail in that the recipient of the freepost pays only for those items that are actually received, rather than for all that are distributed
