What do you do on a work experience placement on the maternity ward in the Brighton hospital?

I will hopefully be doing work experience on the maternity ward at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and was wondering whether anyone has previously done this or knows anything about it and what you do there? Or if anyone has done work experience in any hospitals in the surrounding area? Thank you :)

It's unlikely they'd allow you anywhere near the patients (insurance risk). You'd most likely be carrying out basic admin tasks, but would probably be shown around the ward and given helpful info. Much depends on how busy the staff are. At a really busy time, you should not be surprised or offended if you are briefly ignored
