Have you ever actually sold something on Kijiji?

Sold something on Kijiji.. Please help!?

  • I sold a brand new, never used purse on kijiji for $40 a week and a half ago to a women and her fiance as her "xmas present from him". They came to my house to pick the bag up, looked at it for about 5 minutes and decided she wanted it, they paid for it and left. I got an email from her today telling me that she had opened it on xmas morning and noticed that one of the straps was almost completely ripped off and she would like her money back. I KNOW for a fact that the straps were attached and in new condition because I checked it multiple times before selling it, am I required by law to give her the money back, what should I do!? Thanks!

    No you are not liable. This sale was made in person and they knew that it was fine or wouldn't have purchased it. Tell them there are no refunds and the sell was final. I believe they need the money now and just want to rip you off.
