• I have a job interview at Shoppers drug mart cashier position. I am a student and looking for a summer job, My question is, do i have to metion that I have to go back to school in September? I really need this job and I am worried if they are not gonna hire me because I am a student. Can I just say I am taking a year off and get this job and quit after one month? Please help! Any advice on job interview or shoppers drug mart job experience will be appreciated. Thanks

  I would mention that you go back to school. It sounds like you are applying for a part time job, correct? If you tell them you are a student, they may be able to give you hours when you go back to school that fit around your school timetable. If you say you are taking a year off, then quit on them after 1 month, it may make it difficult for you to get hired at any Shoppers again. Lots of stores hire exclusively for summer hours. Im working at the LCBO for the summer only, and they are still flexible with my schedule, plus there are part-timers there who are still in school, and get hours that accommodate their school schedule. Honesty, is always best policy. Hope it works out for you!
