Has anyone got food poisoning in food courts in Singapore?

Food Poisoning at Harvester Plymouth?

  • I got food poisoning at the chain harvester in Plymouth last Saturday. Has anyone else had food poisoning at a Harvester? What did you do about it? What compensation did you receive? I hate the fact that your made out to be a liar in the first place by having to get proof you've had food poisoning! And that involves providing a poo sample...how humiliating! Please can anyone help me?

  • Answer:

You are asked for a sample to allow them to trace the type of infection nad where it may have come from. Speak to your local health department. http://www.nhs.uk/ServiceDirectories/pages/Trust.aspx?id=RK9 Why does everyone talk about suing?

Sorry you have not been well and hope you have now recovered ,, But I am getting a bit sick of all this compo stuff . why does everyone try to get compo for anything now , I am told not to clear the snow from outside my house cause if anyone slips there they will sue me for compo .. Why is this ? Is everyone money mad or is it the lawyers and legal people who are pushing people to do it all the time ,, They are the ones who benefit every time .

I think the best thing to do is call the county health department so that they can inspect the place for health violations and cite it or shut them down if necessary. Possibly preventing other people from getting sick is really the only good that can come out of your misfortune at this point.

No, never had it from Harvester. It's important that you follow it up for the sake of others. If it's proved and lessons can be learned then it makes eating there safer for all of us. But having said that I think that suing is pointless and unnecessary. Did you lose pay from work when you were ill? If so then fair enough but suing for suings sake is greedy and gives even more money to the money grabbing solicitors who encourage us to sue. People these days are far too quick to apportion blame and squeeze money out of others.

Ive never had food poisoning from a harvester but without that sample you have no proof that you even had it. Did you know that food poisoning can occur up to 72 hours after the food was eaten so it may not of even been the food from there that caused it. So no sample, no proof.
