How much does it take to start a cafe?

Would you take your child to a gf cf cafe ?

  • I'm trying to start up a GF /CF cafe-resturant for children and the parent s of children with autistic traits, there is going to be a huge play area designed for the children but still accessible to parents there will be bigger hight chairs and every thing will be able to drawn on so the kids wont get yelled at would you take your child there

  • Answer:

not sure what gf/cf is, but sounds like a fantastic business idea! there aren't enough people in the World who are willing to do things for the Autistic population...if I were a mother and had an Autistic child I would be so grateful for a safe haven like you are offering! It's a great idea, and I wish you all the best

that's a fantastic and admirable idea- I know a girl with autism, and there is nowhere she and her mum can go where her mum doesn't have to worry about her daughter making a scene or feeling embarrassed about her daughters behaviour. Very good idea x

The fact that people don't know what you mean should be a first lesson in what you need to do from a marketing perspective. I would take them, by the way.

If I had an autistic child I would. For those who don't know, gf/cf is Gluten Free/Casein Free.

Im not sure that I would take my kid to somewhere like that unless it had 110% supervision. Im not sure its wise to let autistic kids to play on one of these play areas unattended. Parents would have to be there with them all the time - you cant let any stranger start reprimanding a child with learning difficulties. Personally - this seems like a theoretical good idea - but in practice - it would be one hell of a job to sort and get insured - the ones with 'normal' kids (and I use that word loosely, am not being funny) are a nightmare for insurance and staffing levels but with autistic children - it just would be a nightmare - i really dont think that you would get the levels of people required to make it a profitable business - unless of course you are thinking of running a charity registered thing. Im sorry, I would love the idealism of it all, but I dont think it would work :o(
