just take a stroll up King Street, which is Hammersmiths high street, it is off of the Broadway which is where the Appllo is also. there are also a few little cafes if you walk down the Fulham Palace Road which is also off of the Broadway, however if you are going to a show to avoid crowds which will fill every Restaraunt within half a mile with everybody doing exactly the same as you, maybe a bus trip or tube for a couple of stops maybe an option, possibly into Chiswick which is a continuation of the Hammersmith King Street, or Shepperds Bush, the tube and bus station are also on the Broadway so you cant get lost
