Good date ideas for London???
-
hi there, i have been talkin to a girl recently and she has asked to come out with me. I dont want to do the conventional bar restaurant cinema rubbish, as i see that as boring. I would really like to take her somewhere nice and original. The first time i took her out, we went to Brighton and strolled along the beach and then the marina. Was just wondering if anybody had any similar ideas for the next one at a place in the London area?? Thanks.

Boat rides up the Thames are great - you can go from the Houses of Parliament all the way out to the flood barrier and back. Plus you can hop off at Greenwich or Tower Bridge for a look around...

Picnic in Holland Park, if it's a nice day, or a restaurant/bistro if not, then the opera in the evening. It's outdoors, covered by a canopy, and set against the ruins of old Holland House. The sun sets as you watch and listen, with the peacocks in the background, and you walk out to see the trees illuminated in green and blue light. A wonderful, different afternoon and evening. You can order drinks for the interval, and they provide blankets if it's chilly! http://www.rbkc.gov.uk/ohpseason/general/ (It's so popular, it gets booked up quickly)

If you want to splurge, I totally recommend Vertigo 42 Champagne Bar. It's near Liverpool St Station and is on the 42nd floor so has the most amazing views of London. You need to book ahead if you want a table because it's not very big but the service is impeccable and the food and champagne is definitely worth the price tag.
