Family day out north of London?

What is a great family day out in London?

  • Theres my mum, me [13] and my younger brother [8] and we have been to many attractions already in London such as, Natural History, Harrods, Hamleys, Theatres, Imax, Science Museam, V&A, Tower of London etc etc, but what is you favourite day out in London? We need ideas fast!

    Id recommend going to see the London Eye! It is a type of ferris wheel that you can see London from a great view! The cost is about 4-5 pounds and you go around it for 15-20 minutes. ALSO I would recommend seeing Buckingham Palace, you might be able to see the changing of the guards! The Noble Gardens (by Buckingham) are very nice to walk through!

If it is a nice day a visit to one or two of the bigger parks is worth doing -ST janmes and Green Park ,Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens , Regents Park and the Zoo . A bit further afield but you could take a boat trip up the Thames to Kew Gardens ,Hampton Court or Richmond Park. If you did Buckingham Palace as suggested by the above user you could take in Horse Guards Parade and St james at the same time.

the "London Dungeon"(link-) www.thedungeons.com and "The London bridge experience" - (link-) http://www.thelondonbridgeexperience.com/ Both are meant to be good but the Dungeons always seems to have a queue outside that goes on forever. Wherever you go I recommend you travel by Thames Clippers- A day rover ticket (Travel all day) is £12 for an adult (if I remember correctly) and far less for you & your brother. Tour boats will probably cost more than £12 for just one trip! And busses are just a nightmare more horrific than the attractions featured above.
