Is it dangerous to go out by yourself at night in London?

London Night Out - Where To Go? HELP!?

  • Hi there, I'm currently trying to organise my sister-in-law to be's hen do and she wants to go to a london show and then have a night out but we have no clue where to go? I haven't ever been to London on a night out and wouldn't know where to start! Can anyone recommend :) x

  • Answer:

There are LOADS you can do for London’s night out, you can hang out in Mayfair trendy pubs, unique experience in Leicester Sq’s China Town, Chillin in BrickLane Pubs (Hixton), Strolling around Chelsea’s Kings Road, and just go crazy in Angel’s upper street. T hat depends, how much is your budget? If you have enough, hire a limo, or London bus, and go around London, usually the driver/limo provider already have a route or program for hen night. You can get a limo for less than £500 per night (depends on how many people, car type, etc) You can go around and enjoy the view of London with champagne on board. Or, you can go do celebrity spotting and party like them, just to London ‘hip’club, such as Amika, Boujis, or Kensington Roof Garden, or many else.. I know that you can book a table for 10 people, with minimum spend of £500 + entry fee ( I guess should be less than £20) in Roof Garden (that’s quite lot of drinks for 10 people). But you have to remember, if you go to good club, you have to do early booking, or you will end up spend your night queuing in line. If your budget is a bit tight, just go to Covent Garden and its surrounding, if you want to see a play, book it online, or through lastminutes.com – usually cheaper. Have a drink or two, or three or as many as you want afterwards at anywhere in Central London. Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Sq have bunch of clubs, or pubs, with the reasonable price, you can even negotiate with the event promoter, who usually offer you a table in their club in the street, don’t be afraid to haggle with them, they need you! I definitely wouldn’t go to Peckham, Woodgreen, Hackney, etc… because they are all seems dodgy for me. Go safe. Do a bit of research the area you want to visit first, especially these days, you don’t want your night out end up with unfortunate headline in the London newspaper do you? Good luck and hope you’ll have a great one!
