When is The Notting Hill Carnival?

How can I get to Notting hill carnival from Victoria, London?

• I'm planning on going to Notting hill. I will be taking a coach from Birmingham to Victoria however I am wondering how to get to the Notting Hill carnival for the 29th? Is there a bus running straight from Victoria to Notting hill specially for the carnival?

  As you leave the coach ask the driver where Buckingham Palace Road is, in the direction of Victoria BR Station is, (I am not sure where you will arrive at the Coach Station, it varies). Keep on the Coach Station side of the road not the Rail Station side and just walk down for about 5 minutes.. At the end of the road you will see a small triangular green, this is Grosvenor Gardens, you wil see a Statue to Marshal Foch, walk past it and turn left, you will see a bus stop with the letter Q on the top, get a 52 Bus from here, destination Willesden, ask the driver which is the best bus for the Carnival and Notting Hill. When you get off just follow the crowds. Remember to have change with you as you have to buy a ticket before you get on, there should be small red ticket machine by the Bus stop, or you can buy a one day ticket in Victoria Station
