Do I need previous experience to get hired as a hostess at cactus club in Vancouver?

I'm applying for the hostess position at a cactus club in Vancouver. All my past work were customer service related but I have no experience in the restaurant business. Do I need previous experience as a hostess in order to get hired? Also, do hostesses at cactus club get tips as well? Anyone know? Thanks a lot!!!

they hire if you are polite, have a smile, long legs, look good in a mini and want to learn. I love those cactus club girls. I always tip extra and they share with the hostess...
