Can I bring a cake on a plane?

What establishment would allow me to bring a birthday cake Vancouver, B.C?

• No Stupid Comments Please Where can I go in Downtown That Will Let Me Bring In A Homemade Birthday Cake After the Restaurant? I really wanted to check out Sanafir on Granville, but when I asked the host if it would be okay for me to bring a cake in for my birthday he said "usually we don't allow it but we'll do it for you, only the cake has to have the receipt that you bought it from the bakery" The thing is my girlfriend is the one making the cake, and she makes these amazingly beautiful cakes which she works so hard on, but since it's homemade they won't allow it in. It's so annoying that there's always something. I wanted to check out this restaurant because it looks cool inside but I don't want my friends and I to spend a ton either. Since we're having dinner there already and I made reservations I automatically thought they'd allow it because we've never ever had problems before when she makes birthday cakes for me and my other girlfriends. I don't know where we could go since I don't live in Vancouver. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  Sounds like the restaurant is a snobby place and it's not worth your time to go there. Just call around all the restaurants downtown that you like and ask them their outside birthday cake policy. When a restaurant does let you bring the cake in, be sure to increase your tip, because you are bringing in outside food. It will make the restaurant want to let you do that again.
