What is York university like? (In Toronto, Canada)?

thinking about taking York. What is residence like? The people, profs? Food? Good clubs? Wanting to join the LGBT club... And I don't drink, smoke, or party. If that information is necessary...

It's a mediocre university....Schulich is the only except there. I didn't go to York despite a full scholarship...went to Laurier instead....go there!!!

the school is really nice but it is no where close to down town, which means to go to good restaurants and clubs, you will be heading a way away. I wouldn't stay in res. its too expensive for what you will be getting. right behind york there is a york village that is full of rooms for rent. and it basically an unofficial residence for york u. Profs are really great but some of them don't know how to communicate the information. so like all other schools its based on luck. but before signing up to classes you can check the ratemyproffessor.com website for students rating the prof. as for the BLTGay club, we are all very nice and friendly people you ll just LOVE US. good luck
