Are there any take out restaurants in Nice?

Which type of restaurant to take a person who has come from India (looking for restaurants in Toronto, CAN)?

  • I have a mixed group of people, and most are from this continent, and are pretty flexible in their tastes (Burger joint, All-Day Breakfast restaurants, Chinese restaurants, seafood restaurants, Thai restaurants, North American/Canadian style restaurants, Italian restaurants). I don't think they really like Indian food though. The issue is that we have a guest with us, and the person is a South Indian, and basically is not accustomed to North American style dishes, and so I don't want to go somewhere that they won't be able to eat anything. Any suggestions on type of restaurant (other than Indian restaurant), that this person would feel comfortable with the selection of dishes?

  • Answer:

I haven't been to Toronto in many years, but I would recommend a vegetarian restaurant. I am a member of PETA ( People Eating Tasty Animals) but on occasion I do "veg out". I always thought it was funny that vegetarians are constantly comparing their foods to meat. Anyway, check out happycow.net for a list of vegetarian places in Toronto with reviews, etc. You really won't miss the meat...much.

I think yru_nose's answer is really good, and thanks for the link, whoever you are! I think your friend might be fascinated by Whole Foods on Avenue Road. You choose the food you want from a selection at the counter, then sit down and eat. The food's healthy, colourful, fresh and delicious, and you can see it before you buy it, and there's definitely something for everyone.

Try The Hard Rock Cafe at Yonge and Dundas in Toronto. They have a wide variety of items on their menu..Good food, Good staff and the prices are reasonable..

Most Toronto Restaurant have 1-3 veggie options, there are a number of vegetarian places downtown to, I go to a few, as for all the ones you mentioned they to would offer something for everyone, I would check with the person in the group who may have some aversions to certain foods, from South India it could be a few to a number, I am a former chef, and eat out once and awhile, I worked all over Toronto and the GTA, if you were to take them to an Indian restaurant, try a buffet place, I go to a number on Gerrard St, just to show them how we do there food here, I have been to one in Mississauga/Brampton area, Tandoori Flame, it seats 350.
