What is the cheapest car stereo I can get?

What kind of car stereo system can i get for about $1000?

    for $1000 it will be a little hard.... but you can do it. Try to get a nice headunit for $200 to $250. Check out crutchfield.com for any deals. Replace your front speakers, don't worry about the back ones.... rear fill isn't that important anyway. I would stick with a single 12 inch sub.... probably an Fi SSD or TC Sounds TC-9. If you want 2 subs you should look at Kicker CVR 12's.... all dealers have a buy 1 get 1 free deal on them right now till June 30th I believe. Also at crutchfield try to find a mono amp on sale as well. Good Luck

believe it or not try Walmart pioneer makes a great sound in your vehicle. try to go with all matching items like all sony or all pioneer together the sound will be awesome

Well it depends on what you want your sound system to achieve for you. I would go into a car audio sound shop and shop around. Tell them you in the market and describe to them what you want for your sounds. Give them a ballpark figure to work with, say $900. THey will make some suggestions which will most likely take you up to your $1000, at the most a couple $100 over but I know they can make it work for 1G.

forget crutchfield if anything just get info theyre overpriced, thats enough $$ for competition stuff, if u wanna thump dont get xplod headunit pioneer is nice but just about any... id recommend tho, one that can read sd cards and usb memory remember dvd pop puts usually look nasty when the screens closed, subs and amp... kicker or kenwood dont go with xplod or lightning audio theyre ghetto, id seen some other deals when i was looking for stuff but i cant remember, amp u should go with a digital amp they heat up less, dunno what to recommend u here... just ask around local car shops and then compare in the internet for pricing.. dont believe all rated watts go with a good brand trust me... like lightning audio those are nasty they dont even sound like any base kenwood is good if u want something stable just stick to kicker mtx i hear is pretty awsome if u want a decent nice brand that is one.. usually cheaper so more thump - bigger size... or rockford fosgate those r awsome 2
