How do you get a RDS radio to unlock?

Dose anyone know how to get the code to unlock a 1999 volvo s70 radio?

• it has the factory radio in it and its my friends car but it need a code to unlock it

  tell your friend to go to eBay then car audio and buy a new stereo their cheap now that the i pod is around.even if you got the code the radio itself is junk,and the speakers are most likely shot.you can find them there too.and before you can get anyone to help you with a code you have to ask what information is needed to get someone else to be able to find it.like the cars serial numbers for the radio or the car itself.the people who can help you on line need more than the type of car it is.if he still has the manuel from the car its most of the time in the back of the book or go to a volvo dealership and see if they can help you out.but its not worth it so get him a new or used stereo on ebay.and go to wall mart to pick up the right plug in that fits your cars radio harness and hooks up to the back of your new stereos wiring harness it comes with the wiring diagram and plugs into your cars wiring harness were you unplugged the stock radio from.its not that hard.the plug you need costs about 10 bucks at wall mart.hope this helps.
