The 1400w peak rating is completely meaningless. As for its actual power handling capability -- having a 3" voice coil tells me it can handle a reasonable amt of power. I would say 300-500w rms. Dvc 4's can be wired for 2 or 8 ohms individually, and 1, 4 or 16 ohms together. IMO your best bet would be a mono amp that produces 800-1000w rms. On the cheap side there's the audiopipe ap8001d. A bit more power and slightly more expensive - Hifonicx bxi1210d. There are many other options but those are both decent quality that will give you a lot for your money.
