I need help with subwoofer amp wiring how to get most watts out of my amp if i got a 2ohm sub?

if you want to run that alpine amplifier you need to get a dual 4 ohm subwoofer instead of the dual 2 ohm subwoofer. a dual 2 ohm sub can only be wired at 1 ohms or 4 ohms. that amplifier makes full power at 2 ohms. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp

The key thing is to match the impedance of the speaker (2 ohms) to the output impedance of the amplifier. If your amp has a 2-ohm output, that's the output to use, not any other. Never hook up a speaker to a higher-ohm output (like never hook up a 2 ohm speaker to a 4 ohm output). It's OK to hook it up to a lower-ohm output, but it won't perform as well as if the impedances are matched.
