What are the best 6x9 speakers for my car? I need loads of bass without a sub and amp!?

to be totaly honest you wont or cant get any decent bass from any speakers without at least amping them up.you really do need some type of amped sub. if you look around there are some enclosed space saver subs. try looking at the MTX website and they have subs that fit in to the sides of your boot that are shaped to the boot liner and only have a depth of of maybee 8/10". a pair of them wired to an amp (possibly under seat mounted and your on your way! to push things a little further get the 6x9's door mounted for decent front sounds.....could go on for ever!

I've always found Pioneer to be pretty good,probably help to visit a car stereo shop where you can have a listen and get advice. Make sure you have the best speaker cable you can get your hands on, it will make more difference to the sound than a small amp would.

you cannot get loads of bass without a sub and amp. Try getting those self-amped stealth subs. 6x9's? Pioneer for me... btw, congratulations for your baby!

There are some 6x9" subs on the market, but not too much to choose from. A 6x9" has a cone area comparable to an 8" woofer so expect that. In a small car the bass may be enough, but since you say gobs I take it you want more. Ever thought of a "infinite baffle" setup? It works the same way that you want to run the 6x9" in the back deck, but they are usually put behind the rear seat. Two 10" or 12" subs setup right will give you plenty of bass without taking up space as your trunk will be the box. A small efficient class D amp to drive them won't be hard to keep out of the way. There's plenty of subs on the market that will meet the requirement for a IB (free-air some call it) and it's not that hard to do as the main requirement is to separate the back wave from the front wave. The front wave will play into the car's cabin. The sound is similar to a large sealed box depending on the sub with good low end output. Not very hard hitting, but a very smooth and dynamic bass.

The best thing to get is kicker 6x9 3 way with a small 2 or 300 watt amp running to them thats the best way to get the most out of your 6x9 's and you could also mount the small amp to your shelf so it won't take any space from your trunk.

The Kicker 6 x 9's have pretty decent bass response (at least for a 6 x 9). I would recommend an amp with it though. Although you don't want to give up an room in your trunk, you can easily find other places within the cabin of the car to add an amp (e.g. under the seats)

does not matter which 6 by 9 u get just get a crossover they are quite cheap and make any speakers sound gud they split up the bass from the singing so they dont fart as much oh a jbl are quite gud but depends on how much money u want to spend they are dear but worht it VIBE

the kind of speakers are determined by the peak to peak output of the radio .. what is the rated output in wats.. when you find this out.. you order speakers rated for that amount of power say twenty watts.. then use twenty five watt speakers. ok gilermo.
