Answer:
I think you should start out smaller first. I'd try 2-12's or 2-15's. Put them in a competition ported box. Get anywhere from 800w rms to 1200w rms from your amplifier and you'll be pretty happy. I had 2-12 Type-R DVC 4-Ohm subs powered by a Hifonics XZi-1008 pushing 500w rms x 2 channels @ 2 ohms in a custom built ported box tuned to 45Hz and that thing pounded hard. I shook off a mirror, the tail light in my trunk, etc. I think you'll be surprised what you can do with a well built box. Check out my friends site, he can make you some pretty good boxes: Davetheboxguy.com

4 15's would shake the bolts off your car and make it look like a breakdown from the 1920s. the amps alone would cost $500-100.. thinking if you want it to be heard from miles away they would at least have to be 1500w amps. the speakers with the box.. you would probably have to re-do your whole trunk and make it look like one of those trunks from the need for speed underground 2 cars. then using that much power from your battery source alone you would probably waste up to 5mpg or more plus drain your car batteries life. in order to balance out all that bass to actually make it sound like a decent song is supposed to sound you would need 2-4 tweeters with some 4"-6"9 speakers in the front set of doors.. and then 4"-6" speakers in the rear doors.. and if you have an SUV it would be badass to have 6"9's in the upper back corners of your car.. all that for a decent car system would cost probably $900-$1500.. and labor would be either AT LEAST two weeks or if you hired someone it would be another $100-$200. a super good brand named sound system would cost anywhere from $2000-$3000

800-1500 RMS amp 4 Gage wire 1 big or 2 regular capaciters 1000watts fuse Quick cut off fuse Sub box or box's And time on ur hands if u do it by ur self cause ur gunna be there for a while
what i suggest is that u go to a pawn shop and get the speakers there a whole lot cheaper and will do the same thing and you will also need an amp to push the sound out and you can get a cheap amp also at a pawn shop
