Which sub is the better choice?

!i!i! I need a new sub, what is my best choice? !i!i!?

  • i currently have 1 Alpine Type-R 12'' being pushed by a Phoenix Gold 500RMS 1000Peak amp. i was also thinking of rellacing the amp as well. its an XS2500.. kinda old school, but it preforms extremely well. i was wondering if another type-r would be my best choice. i was looking at Kicker, and Earthquakes.. and this one Kenwood (W3011) . that is 99 bucks, like 75 online,. and from the reviews preforms almost as well as the type r but i def don't want to downgrade... lol also i was planning on maybe going ported, people tell me that type r gets really loud hits from a ported, or vented box, i had it in a sealed one. and it soulded great but always had me wondering how it would sound ported.... i got a spending budget of like 300 bucks. so be nice, and don't throw out a W7, or something way up there... thanks.

you could try audiobahn's flame q series subs..I had the 1100w RMS one and that thing had great sound quality and hit pretty hard I have two kicker CVR's right now and they hit harder but the sound quality isn't near what the audiobahn had ..its all what you're looking for in the speaker, dude..shop around..go to circuit city if you need to listen to a few different brands and see which ones suit your tastes better ..just don't buy cheap..you'll regret it
