New headunit and distortion?

i installed the same aftermarket unit ive had before and before it was never this distorted the sound seems to have some distortion. it was installed the same way the only thing i did different was used a different brand harness. can this really be a bad headunit i bought it brand new not refurbished from a authorized dealer? what things could cause it to not be to clean?

what kind of car do you have? it may be possible that there isd a factory amplifer in your car that can handle the aftermarket radio.. if it is a car with a factory amp then you may need to by pass the amp

distortion means to little power which means the new radio doesnt have as many watts as your old one. so u need an amp or put the old one back in. its not the wiring that causes it but the speakers not getting enough amount of watts.
