Installing an In-Car Cd Player & Amp?

• Hey, got a 1970 vw beetle, and am fitting a sound system! I have a Blaupunkt(sp?) cd player and bought a 400 watt amp on ebay! The Cd player has 4 X 45 watt limit, each one of my speakers is 120 watt, i have 5 so obviously cant use all of them? Just need a guide to install the cd player headunit and amp? Thanks! Alex

  you will need to locate you acc wire in your car and connect it to the acc on the stereo,then locate your ground wire and connect it to the black wire on your stereo,then locate the power wire in the car and connect it to your red stereo wire,and the blue wire on the stereo is the remote wire which connects to your amp,the rest of the wires from the stereo should be speakers but if i was you id run the more powerfull speakers through the amp,as for the amp the power wire straight to your battery the ground to a suitable earth the blue wire to the stereo as explained above,then plug the phono leads into the amp then into the back of the stereo,and then thats it apart from the speakers which is really easy to do normally the wires say which side they are anyway from the stereo or check your instruction they allways tell you, hope this helps!
