How good is MB Quart?

How do I tune my MB Quart premium car audio speakers?

• I bought a set of MB Quart PVI-216 component/coaxial convertible speakers and my sound guys won't install them because they weren't bought from a licensed dealership (c'mon who pays full price). So I'm (sadly) bringing them to Best Buy. I know the tweeters on these speakers are bright and you can tune them down on the crossovers. Does anyone know what's a good setting for a 52w/channel head unit setup with no amp or sub? Gotta know what to tell those guys so they don't mess it up. THANKS

  Just have them use the lowest tweeter setting on the crossover. As far as the harshness, a proper install and angled location will help a ton - but I can't see best buy doing that. They probably wouldn't even begin to know how to start properly installing a tweeter. They just throw things where they fit and call it done. Your other alternative is to use your EQ to bring the brightness down. Also, keep in mind the midranges can be bright too. Most brightness in cars people complain about is right around 3khz. Also 5khz is a source of irritation.
