What are the best car speaker brands ?

• Ok so i have a stock cd player , i just need to replace all 4 speakers in the car cause theyre not loud and they sound like crap, what are the best 6.5 speakers i can get , the best brand , i want loud , long lasting , great sounding speakers , just list few brands that are worth the money , and is there anything i need to know as far as the rms or watts , and if changing this speakers and still keeping the stock cd player is that going to help at all or does cd player have any affect on all of it too . any info any thing at all welcomed , THANKS

  What makes the speakers sound loud and clear is the amp not the brand of speakers. The more amp power the better your system will sound even at lower volume levels. You could ad an amp to your stock unit but when you do that you also amplify the distortion of your stock unit and most people become fatigued with the sound over time, unless the stock unit has exceptionally low distortion. your best bet is to replace the stock unit with an aftermarket unit that has low distortion and lots of power.. When selecting speakers for a stock unit what you want to look at is the sensitivity of the speakers 84db would be poor while 96db would be fantastic, anything over 90db is going to be pretty sensitive...also you need to look at the bass extension because some speakers will achieve high sensitivity by sacrificing bass. Brands that produce good high sensitivity speakers include Pioneer; Kenwood, Sony, in that order.
