Any suggestions for a sound system?

Looking for a high quality sound system for cheap. Any suggestions?

• i dont know too much about car audio and sound systems, but it seems that most of my friends that have sound systems have a lot of bass (usually too much) from theirs subs and a lot of treble from their tweeters, but they have no mid, so the sound quality sux cuz the bass is just blowing and and the tweeters are just giving me a headache... i need to know what would be a good quality system for a decent price

  Ok, so you want a good sound quality system, not a SPL system. Good. I would recommend a good HU (head unit, deck); a good component set up front; an amp for the comp set; a 12" sub; and an amp for the sub. What vehicle are we working on here? That would help to specify which components would work for you. Also, need a budget you want to spend on it all. Remember, there is more to buy than just the above. You need wiring for it all; a box for the sub; and sound deadener for your car/truck.
